What are jaguars prey?

Jaguars (Panthera onca) have diverse prey preferences with a strong tendency to hunt relatively bigger species ranging from capybaras and giant anteaters in some locations, deer including tapirs, as well as peccaries. Other preys of the jaguars includes sloths, monkeys, caimans, anacondas, and various fishes among others. Sometimes their diet depends on availability. Their powerful bite allows them to target larger preys compared to other big cats with equal sizes.
