Where does the peacock live?
The peacock is native to the Indian subcontinent and is found in India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Nepal. They have also been successfully introduced to many other parts of the world, including Europe, North America, and Australia. Peacocks live in open forests, woodlands, and gardens. They are territorial birds and typically live in small groups called "trains". Trains consist of one male peacock, called a "cock", and several females, called "hens". Peacocks are known for their stunning tail feathers, which are used in courtship displays and can grow up to 5 feet long.
