Why egrets appear when the lawn is freshly cut?

Egrets don't appear when the lawn is freshly cut. While it's true that some species of egrets and other water birds may occasionally forage in grassy areas, their presence cannot be directly attributed to the recent cutting of the lawn.

Egrets are generally associated with wetlands, shallow waters, and coastal habitats, where they hunt for fish, insects, frogs, and small reptiles. While they may occasionally venture into other areas in search of food, the presence or absence of freshly cut lawns is not a significant factor in determining their movements.

When egrets are spotted in an area, it's more likely related to the availability of suitable foraging conditions or nesting sites nearby, rather than the state of the lawn.
