Is an grizzly bear carnivore herbivore or omnivore?
Grizzly bears (Ursus arctos horribilis) are omnivorous mammals but they primarily feed on plants and berries. Their diet includes fruits, nuts, grasses, insects, and small mammals such as mice, voles, and ground squirrels. They are also known to hunt big game such as deer, elk, and moose, especially in the autumn when they enter a phase known as hyperphagia and gorge in order to gain as much energy as possible.
