What Is the natural habitat of fennec fox?

Fennec foxes (Vulpes zerda) are native to the deserts of North Africa. They can be found in countries such as Algeria, Egypt, Libya, Mali, Morocco, Niger, and Tunisia. Fennec foxes prefer habitats characterized by sandy or rocky deserts with sparse vegetation. These environments provide shelter and camouflage from predators and adequate prey availability. They dig burrows in the sand or rocks to create their dens, and these dens can be quite extensive with multiple chambers. Fennec foxes are well-adapted to their desert environment, with large ears that help dissipate body heat, fur-covered paws that protect their feet from the hot sand, and the ability to conserve water by extracting moisture from their food. They are also nocturnal, avoiding the extreme daytime temperatures of the desert by remaining in their burrows during the day and emerging at night to hunt.
