What products come from sea otters?

Sea otters are not farmed or hunted for their products. Unlike other marine mammals like seals or whales, they are not commercially exploited for their fur, oil, or any other resource.

Here's why:

* Protected Status: Sea otters are listed as either endangered or threatened in many parts of their range, making it illegal to hunt or trade them.

* Conservation Efforts: Much effort has been put into protecting and restoring sea otter populations.

* Ethical Concerns: There are strong ethical and conservation arguments against using sea otters for commercial purposes.

While there are some historical accounts of hunting sea otters for their fur in the past, this practice is now widely condemned and illegal.
