Will a raccoon kill chipmunk?
Raccoons are omnivorous mammals known for their adaptability and wide-ranging diets. Although they are opportunistic feeders, chipmunks are not a primary food source for raccoons. Raccoons typically prefer larger meals such as fruits, nuts, insects, and small rodents like mice and voles. While raccoons may occasionally prey on chipmunks if other food sources are scarce, it is not a common occurrence and does not pose a significant threat to chipmunk populations.
