Do giant pandas look like a raccoon or bear?

Giant pandas look more like bears than raccoons.

Here's why:

* Size: Giant pandas are significantly larger than raccoons. Adult pandas can weigh up to 300 pounds, while raccoons typically weigh around 15-20 pounds.

* Body Shape: Giant pandas have a stout, bear-like build with short legs and a large head. Raccoons have a more slender build with long legs and a pointed face.

* Fur: Giant pandas have thick, black and white fur, which is similar to the fur of some bear species. Raccoons have a more grayish-brown fur with a distinctive black mask.

* Claws: Giant pandas have non-retractable claws like bears. Raccoons have semi-retractable claws.

While giant pandas do share some superficial similarities with raccoons, like their black eye patches, their overall body structure and size strongly align them with the bear family.
