Why are weasels endangered?

Weasels are not currently considered to be an endangered species. However, some weasel populations are declining due to habitat loss, pollution, and hunting. Loss of habitat is the most significant threat to weasels, as their natural habitats are being destroyed or fragmented due to development, agriculture, and other human activities. Pollution from chemicals and pesticides also poses a risk to weasels, as they can accumulate in the environment and have harmful effects on their health and reproductive success. Additionally, some weasels are hunted for their fur or for pest control purposes, which can further contribute to their population declines.
