How do giraffes hear?

Giraffes have highly sensitive hearing. Their large, funnel-shaped ears can pivot independently to capture sounds from different directions. This helps them to stay alert to predators and other dangers. Giraffes' ears are located on top of their heads, which gives them a wide range of hearing. They can hear sounds up to 20,000 Hz, which is beyond the range of human hearing.
