Where is it possible to find figs in the wild?

Figs are native to the Middle East and Western Asia, but they have been cultivated in many other parts of the world, including the Mediterranean region, California, and Australia. Figs can be found in the wild in warm, temperate climates, such as in rocky outcrops, hillsides, and forests. They are often found in dry, sunny areas with well-drained soil. Figs are also known to grow in hedgerows and along roadsides.
