Where do amur leopards come from?

The Amur leopard (Panthera pardus orientalis) is a leopard subspecies native to the remote forests of Primorsky Krai in southeastern Russia and Jilin Province in northeast China. It is one of the most critically endangered big cat subspecies in the world, with a population estimated to be less than 100 individuals. The Amur leopard is characterized by its beautiful and thick coat, which is pale yellow or creamy in color with large and widely spaced rosettes. These leopards are well-adapted to the cold and snowy environment of their habitat and are known for their secretive and solitary nature.
