What do giraffes like to do?

Giraffes are known for their long necks, which they use for various purposes.

- Feeding: Giraffes primarily feed on leaves and buds of trees, particularly acacias. Their long necks allow them to reach high into trees and access food that other animals cannot reach.

- Social interactions: Giraffes use their necks for social behaviors, such as establishing dominance and courtship rituals. Dominant males engage in "necking," where they swing their necks at each other to assert strength.

- Defense: Giraffes use their necks as a defense mechanism against predators. They can deliver powerful kicks with their hind legs, but they also rely on their necks. If a predator grabs a giraffe's neck, the giraffe can swing its head and neck to try to break free or strike the predator.

- Communication: Giraffes use their necks for communication, such as making a "snorting" sound to alert others of danger or emitting soft sounds during courtship.
