How old does a foal need to be before getting ridern?
A horse is not old enough to be ridden until it is considered "broke" or trained to carry a rider. The exact age at which a foal can be broken depends on the breed of horse and the individual foal's temperament and maturity level. In general, most horses are not broken until they are at least 2 years old, and some breeds, such as draft horses, may not be ready until they are 3 or 4 years old.
