What Breed of horse was Mr.Ed?

Mr. Ed, the talking horse from the popular 1960s sitcom, was actually played by three different horses:

* Bamboo Harvester, a palomino, was the primary horse who played Mr. Ed for the majority of the show.

* Pie-Eyed, a sorrel, was used for scenes requiring more athleticism or speed.

* Seabiscuit, another sorrel, was used for scenes requiring a specific gait.

While there are claims that Bamboo Harvester was a Quarter Horse, there's no official breed confirmation. He was likely a mixed breed with some Quarter Horse lineage.
