Palominos are known for their distinctive golden coat and flaxen mane and tail, but they are not specifically bred for any particular gait. They can be found in many different breeds, including Quarter Horses, Thoroughbreds, and even some Warmbloods.
Gaited breeds, on the other hand, are specifically bred for their smooth, four-beat gaits, such as the running walk, fox trot, or rack. Examples of gaited breeds include the Tennessee Walking Horse, the Missouri Fox Trotter, and the American Saddlebred.
