Horse Registration Associations

Most breeds of horses keep a registry or stud book to document bloodlines and performance records. Joining a registration association for your breed of horse provides such opportunities as showing, racing, youth events and awards. A few registries are not based on bloodlines but on color or conformation standards. All breeds may apply for registration and the list includes some of the most popular breeds and color registries in the United States.
