Do horse foals cry when they are young?

Horse foals do make vocalizations when they are young, but they are not tears or crying in the same way that human babies do. Foals use vocalizations to communicate with their mothers and other members of the herd. They may make sounds to express hunger, discomfort, or excitement. These vocalizations are important for foal and mother communication and help foals learn how to interact with the world around them.
