What do cassowaries weigh?
The Southern Cassowary is the third-tallest and second-heaviest living bird, after its relative the ostrich and emu. An adult Southern Cassowary can stand up to 1.5–2 m (4 ft 11 in–6 ft 7 in) tall and weigh up to 58.5 kg (129 lb). The Northern Cassowary stands up to 1.5–1.8 m (4 ft 11 in–5 ft 11 in) tall and typically weighs 30–40 kg (66–88 lb).
