- Introduce a new food into their diet little by little, mixing it with their current food at first.
- Make sure the vegetables are organic.
- Wash them thoroughly under tap water to remove any remaining pesticides.
- Feed them only a limited amount of each vegetable. If you overfeed them, they could develop gastrointestinal problems or diarrhoea.
- Remove any uneaten vegetables after 24 hours to prevent them from rotting.
- Give them a variety of vegetables to ensure that they get a balanced diet and meet their nutritional requirements.
