Homemade Horse Shampoo

Making homemade shampoo for your horse is a healthy alternative to store-bought shampoos. Most store-bought shampoos are made with chemicals that leave a residue. These residues can be harsh to your horse's coat over time.

Things You'll Need

  • Gallon of spring or distilled water
  • 10 chamomile tea bags
  • 1/2 tbsp glycerin
  • 10 drops tea-tree essential oil

Instructions

      Fill a pan with water. Bring the water to a boil and add tea bags. Remove the pan from the heat, and cover. Allow the bags to soak for about an hour.

      Remove the tea bags. Add the castile soap, glycerin and tea-tree oil. Stir the mixture.

      Pour the mixture into a bottle, and store in the refrigerator for future use.
