Instructions
Trim the hair of your Arabian horse. Set the horse clippers to the 10 blade. Trim the hair around the ears and from the coronet band to the fetlock joint. Switch to a 40 blade to get rid of hair around the eyes, besides the eyelashes, and around the muzzle.
Smooth out the hooves with sandpaper. File down any rough spots found on the horse̵7;s hooves.
Wash the horse with shampoo and rinse thoroughly. Dilute shampoo in a bucket of warm water and apply with a sponge. Rinse the horse with warm water as well. Work conditioner through the mane and tail. Dry off the horse with towels before continuing to groom.
Loosen any remaining dirt on the horse with a rubber curry. Move the rubber curry over the horse̵7;s body without touching his legs or face.
Use a dandy brush on your Arabian horse. A stiff dandy brush is required during the winter months to get through the thicker coat while a softer brush is utilized during the summer on the horse's thinner coat. Flick the brush in an upward motion to remove dust and dirt remaining on the horse.
Smooth down the hair of the Arabian horse with a body brush. Keep your strokes flat for best results.
Brush the tail of your Arabian horse to remove any knots. Use the dandy brush on the tail.
Spray a light coat of body shine on the mane of the horse. Massage the oil into the horse̵7;s coat to bring out its natural luster.
Pick your horse's hooves. Begin with the front hooves. Cradle each hoof in your hand and start using the hoof pick on the back exterior of the hoof. Move over all sides of the hoof to remove any dirt, stones and mud found on each hoof with the pick. Brush off any loose debris.
