Things You'll Need
- Eight ¾-inch by 10 foot long PVC pipe
- Measuring tape
- Pencil
- Fourteen ¾-inch tees
- Four ¾-inch crosses
- Four ¾-inch elbows
- PVC glue
- PVC pipe cutter
- A helper
Instructions
Measure each of the eight pieces of ¾-inch pipe 5 feet in from one end to the center and mark the center point with a pencil. Cut along this pencil mark with the PVC cutters.
Select two of the 5-foot ¾-inch pieces of PVC and measure one-foot increments along each pipe, marking with a pencil. Cut the marks with the cutters.
Connect the 1-foot pieces of PVC together to make one side post of one panel. Glue them together with PVC glue and the other parts in this order: 1 elbow, 1-foot piece, one 3/4-inch tee, 1-foot piece, one ¾-inch tee, 1-foot piece, one ¾-inch tee, two 1-foot pieces, and an elbow. Line up the ends of the tees and elbows all in the same direction, not staggered. This will make one straight post.
Repeat step 3.
Glue the pieces together to make a center post with the ends facing in the same direction. Put them in this order: tee facing upside down, 1-foot piece, cross, 1-foot piece, cross, 1-foot piece, cross, 1 foot piece, cross, 1-foot piece, tee facing right-side up.
Have your helper hold up one of the side posts while you quickly put glue into the holes on one side of the side post. Insert a 5-foot-long piece into each of the holes.
Put glue into the holes of one side of the center post and quickly insert the other ends of the 5-foot pieces into the corresponding holes on the center post. Allow to dry.
Repeat step 6 with the other side post. Insert the ends of those 5-foot-long pieces into the one center post that you just attached to the other side post to complete one horse panel. Allow to dry completely.
