What environment do bats live in?

Bats inhabit an astonishing variety of environments across the globe, demonstrating their remarkable adaptability. Their habitats range from the lush, humid rainforests of South America to the arid desert landscapes of Australia and the temperate forests of North America. Bats can also be found in caves and underground chambers, offering them a sanctuary from predators and elements. Some species prefer to dwell in urban environments, including the nooks and crannies of buildings and bridges. With the exception of the extreme polar regions, bats can be found on all continents, thriving in diverse climates and ecosystems. Their ability to navigate different habitats using their echolocation capabilities allows them to exploit abundant food sources and successfully roost and raise young.
