What are the three main habitats of UAE?

1. Desert:

- Deserts cover a majority of the UAE’s land area, characterized by extremely high temperatures, low precipitation, and scant vegetation.

- The Arabian Desert, a large expanse of sand dunes, spreads across much of the country, creating a harsh and arid environment.

2. Coastal areas:

- The coastline of the UAE stretches for over 1,300 kilometers (808 miles), where both the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman meet.

- Coastal areas experience higher humidity levels and warmer temperatures compared to inland regions.

- Mangrove forests, a unique ecosystem, can be found along certain parts of the coast, providing habitats for diverse marine life.

3. Mountainous regions:

- The Hajar Mountains, located in the eastern part of the UAE, offer a rugged terrain and a cooler climate compared to the rest of the country.

- The highest peak, Jebel Jais, stands at over 1,900 meters (6,267 feet) above sea level.

- This region receives occasional rainfall, allowing for the growth of lush vegetation, including acacia trees, wild flowers, and shrubs.
