- Traumeel

- Feed bucket (optional)
Instructions
Decide which form of Traumeel to use by considering the nature of the horse's health problem and her temperament, as well as your own equine care preferences. Traumeel comes in gel, tablet, liquid and injectable forms.
Use Traumeel gel for visible bruises, scrapes or contusions in areas you can easily reach. Massage a generous amount into the injured area twice a day. The gel absorbs easily through hair and skin.
If the injury is on the hoof, rub the gel above rather than directly on it. You can use tinfoil or a layer of cotton with tinfoil outside as a bandage to hold in heat and increase absorption rate.
Give your horse Traumeel tablets if she appears to have suffered a trauma or has bruises on several areas of her body. Tablets are more effective than gel when treating a horse's entire body. Give her five to six tablets three times a day, either mixed in with oats or administered by hand.
Give your horse Traumeel liquid if it's easier for you than tablets. The suggested dose is 20 to 30 drops, diluted in water, three times per day. Use about half that amount if you are treating a foal.
Inject your horse with Traumeel in cases in which you want rapid absorption into a specific area. Inject subcutaneously using a small needle and narrow gauge syringe. You will want to inject into or close to the injured region. Consult with your vet or other equine professional if you have never injected a horse before.
