Things You'll Need
- Vaseline
- 1 teaspoon of tea tree oil (you can find this anywhere that sells lotions and extracts)
- Peppermint oil
- Small pan
- Stove
Instructions
Melt 4 ounces of Vaseline. You can do this in a pot on your stove, or in your microwave.
Mix in the tea tree oil.
Add a few drops of peppermint oil. The peppermint oil will help cool the injured area, and it also suppose to help alleviate pain.
Stir the ingredients together.
Allow the mixture to harden. If the salve is runny and won't harden, you will have to add another ounce of Vaseline.
Smear a light amount of the salve onto the injury three times daily, until the injury has healed.
Store the unused salve in your refrigerator. The tea tree salve can be stored in your refrigerator for several months. Make sure you keep the unused portions of your salve in a container that has a lid, to prevent debris from contaminating the salve.
