Instructions

    • 1

Place your Peruvian Paso saddle on a sturdy saddle rack. It's much easier to get an accurate measurement if the saddle is sitting on a stable surface.

    • 2

Put the tape measure at the back of the swell, which is just behind the saddle horn or hand-hold on a Western-style Peruvian Paso saddle. For an English-style Peruvian Paso saddle, place the tape measure over the small round button on the side of the saddle. You'll find this round button on both sides of the saddle; you can measure from either side.

    • 3

Extend the tape measure to the middle of the cantle (the back of the saddle seat) for both types of saddle. Read the tape measure to get your seat size.
