Things You'll Need
- Soap
- Water
- 2 sponges
- Chamois cloth
- 1/2 tsp. pure Neatsfoot oil
- Damp sponge
Instructions
Start with a clean bridle. If the bridle is dirty, take it apart and wash it with a sponge dampened with soapy water. Rinse the sponge well until damp and wipe the bridle to remove the soap residue. Pat the bridle dry with a chamois cloth.
Dampen a sponge and apply approximately 1/2 tsp. of Neatsfoot oil to it. Wipe the Neatsfoot oil onto all surfaces of the bridle.
Reassemble the bridle. The leather will feel somewhat sticky, but should be softer and more pliable. Repeat the oiling each time after use.
