Instructions
Measure your mini horse, using a measuring tape. In order to make the harness conform to your horse's body, measure the neck, bridle, belly and spine of the horse. When measuring the bridle, measure from the corner of the mouth up to the cheek, then go behind the ears and back down to the opposite side of the mouth. When measuring the spine of the horse, measure from the center of the back to where the tail begins. Record your measurements.
Cut material for the straps using the measurements you recorded. Determine how wide you want your straps, and cut pieces of leather into strips. Take a piece of leather and sew it together using the measurements for the bridle of the horse; repeat for the neck, belly, and spine. Leave extra room at the end of the leather before sewing it to allow yourself to add buckles to each separate strip of leather.
Place the extra fabric that you left for your buckle through the metal loop of the buckle. Fold the leather over to the other side and sew it closed. Repeat for each piece of leather you cut for each body part.
Strap your horse. Place each piece of leather that you cut around the appropriate body part of the horse with the buckle facing up. When you are ready, you can attach a vehicle to your newly harnessed horse.
