Wahl 8550-200 Specs

The bright blue Wahl 8550-200 Pro Series animal clippers are designed for equine grooming. The 8550 Pro Series clippers come with various accessory combinations. All models, however, have the same specific elements such as motor size, cordless capability and a No. 10 detachable blade. The series also gives three color choices; blue, purple and the 8550-1101 is terracotta.

    • The handheld unit, when not attached to the charging cable, weighs 8.6 ozs. and is 6 inches long.

    High-Powered Rotary Motor

    • The direct-drive rotary motor in a Wahl 8550-200 clipper produces 5,500 blade strokes per minute.

    Cordless Operation

    • The 8550-200 gives a user corded and cordless options. A 15-hour charging time provides 30 minutes worth of running time. Because it's a single-speed unit, there's no way to extend that time.

    • Each set of clippers includes a storage case to keep the clippers from getting damaged and to store accessories. The case also includes the charging unit, a brush for cleaning the hair out of the clippers, blade oil to keep the blades from binding or seizing, a blade guard and instructions in English and Spanish.
