Instructions
Hang your bridle up onto a fence post and hold your Pelham bit in your hands.
Turn the Pelham bit so the chain hooks are facing up and the lip strap hooks are facing down. The chain hooks are the set of smaller hooks closest to the snaffle chain.
Attach the Pelham bit, with the curves of the bit facing in, to the bridle. Bridle straps unfasten and fasten like a belt.
Attach the reins to the hooks hanging down at the bottom of the bit.
How to Attach a Pelham Bit to a Bridle
Pelham bits combine the effectiveness of a snaffle and a curb bit together in one. A Pelham bit has a curb bit mouthpiece with a snaffle running across and a place for two reins to be attached. Having two reins attached can give a rider more control over their horse. Horses like the Pelham style bit because it tends to take up less room in their mouths, making them more comfortable, and it distributes pressure evenly.
