How to Glue on Horseshoes

If your horse has suffered damage to the hoof wall, then gluing on its horseshoes may be an option. By using fast-setting urethane materials that adhere to the hoof, you can avoid using nails on your horse's feet. Although this technique is less invasive to your animal, the shoes may not stay on as long as traditionally nailed shoes. Glued on horseshoes will last approximately four to six weeks. Dry climates will prolong the life of the shoes.
