Instructions
Hold the bridle so the browband and noseband face away from you. Hook the browband on a hook so you can use both hands to attach the bit.
Hold the bit so the curve of the bit faces the same direction as the curve of the browband and noseband, which is away from you. Hold the right ring of the bit up to the right cheekpiece of the bridle.
Hook the end of the cheekpiece strap through the ring on the end of the bit. Pull the end of the strap through the ring. Then thread the strap through the two keepers on the side of the cheekpiece.
Push the metal piece between the keepers through the hole on the strap and pull on the bit to secure the leather strap on the metal piece. Repeat the process with the left cheekpiece and the left end of the bit.
How to Install a Horse Bit on a Bridal
A horse bridle is the headpiece that connects to the reins so you can direct the horse. The bit is the metal piece on the end of the bridle that goes in the horse's mouth. The bit attaches to the cheekpieces of the bridle so when you pull on a rein, the horse's head turns in that direction. Connecting a bit to a bridle is a simple process that does not require any tools.
