How to Use Collapsible Portable Fencing

Horse owners who travel to shows or compete in rodeo events can enjoy the benefits of collapsible portable fencing. Collapsible portable fencing addresses the issue of carrying full-size corral panels to events. It collapses to a small size for transportation and can expand into a larger size for use as a corral, pen or stall area for containment of a horse. Horses can feed and walk much more freely than if tied to a trailer.

Instructions

    • 1

Hold one fence panel firmly with two hands. Place one hand on the middle and one hand on an end, sliding the end out by pulling your two hands away from each other. Extend both sides and the top in this manner to achieve maximum length and height. The system works like an adjustable curtain rod that contains a slightly smaller tube inside a larger tube. Snap a pin into place to hold the panel at its greatest length.

    • 2

Extend all of the panels, and stand two of them close to each other. Slide the hinges of one into the hinges of a second panel and place the pin inside from the top of the hinge to hold in place. Pins may pivot or lock in place at different angles. Continue adding panels until assembly of all panels is complete.

    • 3

Install bungees and stakes if your model includes these items. Pound ground stakes into the ground with a rubber mallet and attach a bungee strap to the fence panel and to the top of the ground stake.

    • 4

Take the collapsible portable fencing down by reversing the process and removing ground stakes, bungee straps and hinge pins. Disconnect panels from each other and collapse so they store in the storage bag.
