Instructions

    • 1

Place the name plate face up on the bridle exactly where you want it.

    • 2

Score the leather through the holes on either side of the name plate using the sharp end of one of the nails.

    • 3

Place the bridle at the edge of a hard, flat surface and hammer the nails through the holes in the name plate and through the leather.

    • 4

Put masking tape over top of the name plate to protect it, then turn it upside down so the nails are sticking straight up.

    • 5

Place the copper burr over the nail and push down with pliers. Snip off the excess nail using the pliers but be sure to leave a couple of millimeters of nail sticking up beyond the burr. Repeat with the other nail.

    • 6

Tap the nail and burr together using the ball peen hammer until they meld together.

    • 7

Remove the masking tape from the other side of the plate.
