Things You'll Need
- Water tanks
- Hose with pressure nozzle
- Stiff bristled cleaning brush
- Bucket
Instructions
Drain the water tanks thoroughly before getting started. Allow the water to drain into a bucket then remove the tanks from the trailer.
Place the drained water tanks on the ground and spray the exterior of the tanks with a high pressure hose. If you have access to a pressure washer you can use that, otherwise use a hose with a high pressure nozzle. Be sure that dirt and debris is removed from the outside of the tanks.
Remove the top of the water tanks and set them aside. Use a pressure washer or a hose with a high pressure nozzle to spray out the interior of each tank. Use a stiff bristled brush to clean any accumulated dirt, debris or algae from the sides and bottom of the tank.
Fill the tanks with water using the high pressure hose nozzle and allow the water to sit for a few minutes. Empty the tanks and look for any remaining debris that may be clinging to the sides or bottom of the tank. Use the brush to remove this contamination, then rinse the tank again. Place the top back on the tanks and then hang them back in the trailer.
