Things You'll Need
- Stiff brush
- Baby-safe laundry detergent
- Mesh laundry bag
- Washer and dryer
Instructions
Don't drop your wraps in the sawdust. Sawdust tends to stick to the wrap's material. In addition to poking and rubbing your horse's leg, the sawdust will also clog your washing machine when you wash the polo wrap.
Use a stiff brush (you should have one in your grooming kit) to brush your wraps after riding your horse. This will remove any loose dirt and debris from the polo wraps and allow you to extend the amount of time between washings.
Fold the Velcro wrap back on itself so that it doesn't stick to your other items in the washing machine.
Place all four of your polo wraps in a mesh laundry bag. The bag will prevent the wraps from tangling with your other laundry.
Use a mild detergent when washing your polo wraps.
Dry your polo wraps in the dryer on the gentle cycle. The dryer will keep your wraps fluffier than line drying.
