2. If you are on the right side of the horse, run your right arm under their belly and bring your left arm over the top of their hip. If you are on the left side of the horse, do the opposite.
3. Grab the blanket with your right hand and place it over the horse's back, starting at the withers. If the horse moves around a bit, do not panic and hang onto the blanket; eventually, they will settle down.
4. Pull the blanket down under the horse's chin and then back over their tail. Make sure the blanket is evenly distributed and not bunched up anywhere.
5. Fasten the blanket straps by buckling them together under the horse's belly. If the blanket has surcingles, run them under the horse's belly and snap them together in front of their chest.
6. Step back and admire your work! Your horse is now warm and cozy.
