Broom Polo
-
Broom polo is a challenging game for teen girls on horseback. It teaches teamwork, balance, assertiveness and self-confidence. Teams of four to six players each compete to score the most goals with their ball, which can be rubber or plastic. The game imitates real polo, but with less grace and flamboyant riding. It's an activity that is both enjoyable and socially educational.
Ride-A-Buck
-
Ride-a-buck can provide lots of amusement, as well as good practice on riding skills such as balance, seat and leg position. Each girl takes a dollar bill and places it between her thigh and her saddle. The judge then calls for all gaits, and the last person to have the dollar remaining in place wins first place and all the dropped dollars. Kids of all ages--not just teen girls--love this game.
Egg-N-Spoon
-
This is very similar to ride-a-buck, except each rider has a spoon, and on that spoon she balances a raw egg. The goal is to be the last rider with an egg on her spoon; the riding can get quite creative as the judge calls out different gaits. This game makes for a lot of laughs as well as a physical challenge.

Horse Games for Teen Girls
Being a teenager can be hard work on everyone involved. It is a time of great physical and emotional change in a young person's life, and it can be a time when teens, especially girls, may withdraw and become depressed. Combining a common interest, such as horses, with games where teen girls can play and work together, can help provide some positive influences in an otherwise tumultuous time.
