Lancaster Event Center
-
The Lancaster Event Center in Lincoln is a total entertainment complex that is equipped to handle horse shows of any size. Although several areas are available for stalling up to 1,000 horses, a permanent pavilion is designated exclusively for horse stalling. This facility includes stalls for 250 to 400 horses. The configuration of the pavilion changes depending on the size of the show; larger shows reduce the size of a warm-up space and result in more stall space. Restrooms are located inside the pavilion and wash bays are placed in four different areas of the building. Another pavilion houses a 73,000-square foot arena completed in 2008 and designed by Bob Kiser, renowned ring architect and consultant. On-site campgrounds, a locker room with showers and meeting rooms are all available to accommodate travelers.

Horse Show Arenas in Nebraska
According to the American Association for Horsemanship Safety, there are several factors that can affect the safety of both horses and riders in riding arenas. Therefore, it is important to ensure that arenas are safe before committing to a show and that rules for riders and spectators are in place to make the experience a safe and enjoyable one. Arenas should have a smooth surface free of rocks, be surrounded by a good fence with properly maintained and supervised gates. Also, rules for riders, managers, handlers, visitors and spectators should be clearly stated and enforced to ensure the safety of the horses and everyone involved.
