Draw
-
One game you can play and use to educate at the same time is the "visual" horse. This can be anything from drawing the digestive tract on the horse to the skeleton or the muscles. You can have students draw almost anything with some tempera paint. Students can draw the horse's parts themselves, or you may have them identify the parts by sight on a horse that you have drawn.
Charades
-
Another option is charades. You can pretend to be a horse and mimic various health problems. Students must guess at potential illnesses and act out treatments. When students guess the correct diagnosis and treatment, you can "recover" and award a prize. You can also show when the wrong treatment is given by acting out possible consequences.
Guessing Game
-
This game can be especially useful when teaching the parts of a saddle. Put a saddle up on a stand, and label each part of the saddle on its own flash card. The students must match the flash cards to the saddle parts. You can award a prize to the student or team with the most correct answers.

Educational Horse Games
Education about horses does not always have to be memorization and boring homework. With some creativity you can find a way to make education interesting and hands on. Educators and horse owners can use games to teach students about horses.
