Horse Brochure Ideas

Horse brochures are used to advertise a horse. Horse owners advertise their horses when they want to sell them or promote them as a show horse. Either way, a properly written and formatted brochure can improve the chances of getting a favorable response. Use a word processing program or dedicated printing software to create your horse brochure.
  1. Photographs

    • Include full-color photographs of the horses you intend to show or sell in your brochure. Each side of the brochure should show at least one picture. Show multiple angles of the horse. If you dress the horse for competitions, show the horse both in its garb and without any cloth or saddle. Change up the layout for each side of the horse brochure. Place a horse picture near the top of one section and near the bottom of another. This will create a dynamic layout that's more interesting to read.

    Fonts

    • Choose a font for the text that is easy to read. Avoid script fonts that mimic cursive writing. Choose a sans-serif font that is large enough to read clearly. Keep large paragraphs of text in one size with section headings slightly larger than the rest. Create a test print of the brochure to ensure that all of the text is easy to read.

    Colors

    • Besides the photographs, include other colors in your horse brochure. Change the font color of section headings to a dark color other than black, such as blue, green or brown. Print out test copies of your horse brochure to make sure that these colors continue to be easy to read in the finished version. Consider underlined section headings in another color if you prefer to keep all of the text black. This adds a splash of color that will help get your horse brochure noticed. If your ranch has its own designated colors, use these in the design.

    Included Information

    • Above all else, the textual information you include in your horse brochure is the most important. If you're advertising your show or racing horse, list the achievements and medals won through competition. If you're selling the horse, list the age and any health concerns. On the back of the horse brochure, include all of your contact information, including your ranch address and phone number. Include your email and website address if you want to be contacted through the Internet. Consider hiring a professional writer to make the brochure copy the most appealing.
