What do horses chase?

Horses don't really "chase" things in the same way a dog might. They are prey animals, so their instinct is to flee from danger.

However, they might exhibit behaviors that could be interpreted as chasing:

* Playful behavior: Young horses may chase each other in play, often in a playful "mock" fight.

* Social interactions: Horses may "chase" each other in a herd, sometimes to establish dominance or maintain social order.

* Curiosity: Horses might be curious about something and follow it, like a moving object or another animal.

* Fear: If a horse is scared, it might run away from something it perceives as a threat, which might look like chasing.

Ultimately, horses are more likely to run *away* from things than to chase them.
