What classification is a seahorse?
Seahorse are a type of fish. They belong to the family called Syngnathidae, and they are closely related to pipefish and dragonsfish. Seahorses are unique among fish in that they have a prehensile tail, a neck, and an upright posture. They are also known for their ability to camouflage themselves and their unique reproductive behaviour, in which the male seahorse carries the eggs in a brood pouch until they hatch.
