- Knabstrupper horses date back 300 or more years when Frederick VI King of Denmark purchased four Spanish foals

- One named Flaebehoppen meaning Spotted Mare is believed to be a spotted foal of one of the four Spanish foals and is the dam line and matriarch of all Knabstrupper Horses

- Knabstrupper horses remained rare and were almost gone at one point
