Horse Breaking Schools

Before you can ride a horse, it has to be broken, or gentled, so that it will accept the saddle and rider. If you are a horse owner looking to have your horse broken, or are wanting to learn how to break horses, there are schools available for both.
  1. John &Josh Lyons Certification Program

    • The John and Josh Lyons Certification Program, out of Tennessee, employs the most progressive horse training techniques and teaches them to horse enthusiasts. Students who complete their program become a John and Josh certified trainer. Their program includes courses in how to halter break a horse without stress, saddling and the first few rides.

In the certification program, students undergo four stages. The first is a qualification course, followed by a certified trainer course, then an accredited trainer course, and finished with the master trainer course. Although the certification program is based in Tennessee, their certified trainers can be found throughout the country.
