Things You'll Need
- 30 inches long rope
Instructions
Melt the ends over a flame. Start tying overhand knots following this structure: Knot number 1 should be 7 inches starting from one end of the rope; this will be the pole tie. Knot number 2 should be 4 inches further; this will be the right side. Knot number 3 should be 10 inches further from the last one and this will be the left nose knot. Knot number 4 should be 6 1/2 inches further and this will be the throat latch knot. Knot number 5 should be 25 inches further, and will be the loop.
Tie the left nose knot first into the right nose knot to make a double rope over the nose.
Tie into the throat latch knot. And tie into the right ear knot.
Tie a knot at the chin.
Test all knots before putting halter on horse.
