How deep can beluga whales dive?

Beluga whales can dive to depths of over 1,000 meters (3,280 feet). Some researchers have even documented dives as deep as 1,500 meters (4,921 feet).

However, their average dive depth is around 200-300 meters (656-984 feet). They usually only dive this deep for short periods, usually less than 20 minutes.

It's important to note that these are general estimates, and individual belugas may have different diving capabilities depending on their age, health, and the specific environment they inhabit.
