Danya Tank Removal

A Danya tank is a type of hanging, wall-mounted acrylic fish tank. Tanks of this type appear the same as a round fish bowl mounted inside the wall. A Danya fish tank can be a simple and unique way to display several fish on the wall without having to redo the entire wall. A Danya fish tank, which must be cleaned just like a standard fish bowl, can be taken off the wall when it is given a full cleaning.

Instructions

    • 1

Scoop several cups of water out of the tank by scooping the small plastic cup through the hole in the top of the tank. Dump this water into a small, clean container so that you have somewhere to put the fish while you remove the tank.

    • 2

Pull the fish out with a net and place it into the other container.

    • 3

Continue scooping water out of the tank until it is as empty of water as possible.

    • 4

Set the electric drill to reverse direction. Support the tank firmly with one hand while pressing the electric drill against the screw. Press the trigger of the drill to undo the screw.

    • 5

Put the drill down, grasp the tank with both sides and set it down on its flat side.
